Destiny speaks in many
forms.
She speaks through aspiration and imagination; through inklings and stirrings; destiny calls. Through dreams, visions and of course prophetic words; destiny calls to the heart and speaks of unseen prepared places in the future.
Destiny speaks of a place and reveals its path.
Destiny calls from a distance but only the discerning hear its call; the blind never find their way there.
Destiny by definition means something that is to happen to a particular person or thing. Many of the decisions we make create specific inevitable outcomes. If I jumped off the roof of a fifty-story building, I’m destined to be splattered and very dead. Even Jesus didn’t succumb to testing God and jumping off the cliff as Satan suggested.
Life is filled with choices. The decisions we make are accompanied with inescapable consequences. The consequences of our decisions are sometimes positive and sometimes negative. God will not be mocked; we will reap what we sow. Destiny also means a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible power or agency.
Galatians 6:7 serves as a constant reminder that the principle of sowing and reaping is a very powerful force.
Destiny is not a mysterious force. Right now, the seeds of decisions past are at war with where your gifting and divine call are leading. Your gifting pulls you in one direction but false mindsets pull you to the reverse. Your divine call is pulling in one direction but sin is pulling you in the opposite direction.
For those of you who struggle with destiny, know that the call of God on your life is God’s prepared place and the gift of God within you is designed to lead you there. While life has a way of pulling you in the opposite direction, there is good news.
God is able to redeem time and restore the years that the locusts have eaten. God is able to reposition you and re-establish your footing.
Incline your ear to the heart of God and the prophetic will reveal the mind of God to you.
As a disciple of Jesus Christ, great is your destiny in God and many are the promises towards you. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you towards destiny, your set place.
